- este un artist de graffiti, activist politic, regizor de film, şi pictor.
- lucrările lui ironice şi subversive combină umor negru cu graffiti şi sunt făcute printr-o tehnică uşor de recunoscut şi care i-a făcut lucrările recognoscibile – stencilul ( un proces de aplicare unei vopsele spray peste un şablon decupat în prealabil).
- Banksy a spus odată că cel mai mult urăște la publicitate faptul că atrage toți oamenii inteligenți, creativi și ambițioși, lăsând arta modernă pe mâinile celor plictisitori și egocentriști.
